Description
This piece of handmade ironmongery is crafted from solid iron, shaped by heating and hammering rather than modern machining. The piece has a strong, angular L-shaped upper arm with a long horizontal section and a squared vertical drop, giving it a sturdy appearance. The lower section curves into a decorative scroll hook, with a twisted, rope-like forged detail that adds both strength and ornamentation.
The surface has a natural dark iron patina, showing irregular hammer marks and subtle variations typical of hand-forged work. The asymmetrical form, tapered end, and forged scroll was made by a traditional blacksmith. It can be used as a wall hook, hanging peg, gate/door fitting, or architectural iron detail.
